400G InfiniBand NDR Transceiver Family
400G InfiniBand NDR optical modules. OSFP and QSFP112 form factors, SR4 multimode and DR4 single mode variants; 50 m to 500 m.
- Single-port 400G — the standard choice on the server adapter side
- OSFP and QSFP112 form factors
- 50 m multimode with SR4, 500 m single mode with DR4
- Flat-top (RHS) housing for adapter ports
400G NDR modules are the standard connection unit on the server side: they plug into the ConnectX-7 adapter port and establish the link to the leaf switch. What separates them from the twin-port 800G modules on the switch side is that they are single-port and ship with a flat-top housing.
Two questions settle the choice between the four variants: is your adapter’s port type OSFP or QSFP112, and can the distance be covered with multimode fiber. Both are verified before ordering — the wrong form factor means a box that will not plug in.

Connectivity Solutions
From server adapter to leaf switch
The module plugged into a ConnectX-7 adapter's 400G port has a flat-top (RHS) housing, while the switch port at the far end takes a twin-port 800G module that splits one physical port into two 400G links. Both ends are counted separately in the order list.
OSFP or QSFP112?
The form factor is set by the adapter's port type; the two are not interchangeable. Because ConnectX-7 exists in both OSFP and QSFP112 variants, optics should not be ordered until the card model on the server side is settled.
SR4 or DR4, by distance
For in-rack and adjacent-rack links, multimode SR4 is both sufficient and economical. Across the hall or between floors, single mode DR4 reaches 500 m. The decision follows your fiber plant — selecting the module to fit the infrastructure is cheaper than changing the infrastructure to fit the module.
Features
The busiest layer in NDR clusters
As node count grows, the number of 400G modules on the server side runs several times the switch count. That makes it the most decisive line item for both cost and spare-part planning.
Parallel optics, MPO connector
SR4 and DR4 transmit in parallel over four fiber pairs, which is why they use MPO-12 rather than duplex LC connectors. The cabling plan must be built accordingly.
Original and compatible options
Vendor-branded modules are recognised directly under vendor support; compatible modules offer the same optical characteristics at lower cost, coded for the target hardware. We supply both.
