GPU Virtualization & vGPU Solutions

NVIDIA vGPU, Citrix, Microsoft and VMware-based GPU virtualization — bring GPU power everywhere through VDI and application virtualization.

What is GPU Virtualization & vGPU Solutions?

GPU virtualization maximizes hardware utilization by sharing physical GPU resources across multiple users or virtual machines. With NVIDIA vGPU technology, each user gets dedicated GPU performance while the same GPU is shared across multiple virtual desktops or applications. Mevasis designs, deploys and manages vGPU infrastructure on NVIDIA GRID, Citrix, Microsoft Hyper-V and VMware vSphere platforms.

🎮
NVIDIA vGPU (GRID)
Partition NVIDIA GPUs across virtual machines. Allocate GPU memory and cores per VM for predictable performance.
🖥️
VDI Infrastructure
GPU-accelerated virtual desktop environments on Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, VMware Horizon or Microsoft AVD.
🎨
Application Virtualization
Run CAD, BIM, 3D modeling and simulation applications on a central GPU server and stream them to remote clients.
🔒
Secure Remote Access
Data never leaves the data center — only screen pixels are transmitted. Sensitive data and IP stay within the organization.
GPU virtualization is the most efficient way to distribute AI and visual computing workloads across an organization without giving every user a physical GPU.

vGPU Implementation Process

Mevasis executes GPU virtualization projects in four phases: needs analysis, license and platform planning, deployment and configuration, user training and operations.

🔍

Needs Analysis

Determine user count, application profile (CAD, AI, office), GPU memory and core requirements.

📋

License and Platform Planning

NVIDIA vGPU license model (GRID Virtual PC/App/Workstation), hypervisor selection (VMware/Citrix/Hyper-V) and server sizing.

⚙️

Deployment and Configuration

GPU passthrough or vGPU mode configuration, NVIDIA vGPU Manager installation, hypervisor integration and testing.

🎓

Training and Operations

User training, performance monitoring, license management and ongoing support.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a performance difference between GPU virtualization and a physical GPU?

NVIDIA vGPU technology achieves 90%+ of physical GPU performance. With hardware-based scheduling on NVIDIA Ampere and later architectures, latency differences are negligible.

Which GPU models support vGPU?

Enterprise GPUs such as NVIDIA H100, H200, B200, A100, A40, A16, A10, L40S and Tesla T4 offer vGPU support. Consumer-grade GPUs (GeForce RTX) do not support vGPU.

Which hypervisor platforms do you support?

We offer NVIDIA vGPU configuration on VMware vSphere (ESXi), Microsoft Hyper-V, Citrix Hypervisor and KVM-based platforms.

What use cases are suitable for VDI solutions?

CAD/CAM engineering, BIM, 3D modeling, video editing, data science and office applications — any scenario where remote teams need access to GPU power.

How does vGPU licensing work?

NVIDIA vGPU licenses are purchased per user or concurrent user. Three license tiers are available: GRID Virtual PC (office), GRID Virtual App (application) and GRID Virtual Workstation (professional). Mevasis provides license consulting and procurement support.
